‘Peaky Blinders’ Sequel Series Adds Conleth Hill, Lucie Shorthouse, Cal O’Driscoll to Cast

The upcoming “Peaky Blinders” sequel starring Jamie Bell and Charlie Heaton is rounding out its cast with a number of new additions.

“Game of Thrones” star Conleth Hill has boarded as patriarch of the rival Keeler gangster family, Clemmy Keeler, who is set to go toe to toe with the Peaky Blinders as they race to rebuild Birmingham. Cal O’Driscoll (“Video Nasty”) joins as his son Aidan Keeler while Lucie Shorthouse (“We Are Lady Parts”) joins the Peaky Blinders gang as Kezia Lee. Daniel Monks (“All Her Fault”) is set to play Detective Inspector Bell.

Joining them are Samuel Bottomley (“California Schemin’”), Arturo Muselli (“Gomorrah”) and Eugene Collins (“The Bay”) as fellow Peaky Blinders while Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee will reprise their roles as Charlie and Johny Dogs, respectively.

The new series will see Duke Shelby (played by Bell, who takes over from Barry Keoghan) step into his father Tommy’s shoes a decade after World War Two. “Stranger Things” star Heaton plays opposite as his half-brother Charles Shelby.

Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch and Lucy Karczewski were previously announced as joining the cast. Their roles are currently being kept under wraps.

Two new series of “Peaky Blinders” are currently in the works, each six episodes, which will drop on BBC and its streamer iPlayer in the U.K. and on Netflix in the rest of the world. The show is currently shooting in and around Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham.

The release dates have not yet been publicly confirmed.

“Peaky Blinders” is created and written by Steven Knight. Directors are Mike Barker and Anna Zackrisson while Tim Whitby produces.

The series is produced by Banijay U.K. companies Kudos and Garrison Drama.
