Kacey Musgraves to Release New 16-Song Album, ‘Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes’

by · Variety

Kacey Musgraves will release a 16-song album of all-new material titled “Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes” on January 15, 2027 via Lost Highway Records — just eight months after the release of Vol. 1.

According to the announcement, the album picks up where Vol. 1 left off, “expanding on themes of solitude, contentment, and finding beauty in the in-between.” Four of the album’s 16 songs are sung entirely in Spanish, including a newly-recorded Spanish version of “Uncertain, TX,” featuring Intocable.
