Melissa Etheridge and Joss Stone to Co-Headline Tour in 2025 (EXCLUSIVE)

by · Variety

Melissa Etheridge and Joss Stone, who sang together memorably 20 years ago in a duet on the Grammys, will join together again in spring 2025, this time for a joint tour.

The (so far) 10-city outing will mostly hit the northeastern United States, with one date on the Canadian side of the border. It begins April 18, 2025 in Atlantic City, NJ and ends May 2 in Roanoke, VA, with stops in cities including Newark, Boston and Albany.

In 2005, the two powerhouse vocalists teamed up on the Grammys to sing “Piece of My Heart” as a salute to Janis Joplin.

The public on-sale for tickets is Friday at 10 a.m. local time. This will be preceded by a special artist presale Wednesday and local presales on Thursday, also at 10 local time both days. VIP packages and additional information can be found at Etheridge’s and Stone’s websites.

Stone was still a relatively new artist when she sang on the Grammys with Etheridge — which means she’s already been celebrating some other 20th anniversaries. She headlined her own “20 Years of Soul” tour in 2023 and released a live album recorded on the tour. Returning to the studio, she released a new single, “Loving You,” in August and is preparing a full album 2025.

Etheridge was busy with a streaming film project this year, “Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken,” a two-part docuseries on Paramount that had an accompanying live album. The projects were filmed and recorded at a Topeka correctional facility, whose residents the singer had been corresponding with and inspiring.

Both have had some experience in the theater world in recent years. Etheridge’s one-woman show “My Window — A Journey Through Life” reached Broadway in September 2023. Stone joined up with Dave Stewart to write lyrics and music for “The Time Traveller’s Wife,” a musical that played on London’s West End.

“I am beyond thrilled to hit the road with Joss Stone for this upcoming tour,” Etheridge said in a statment. “Her voice and energy are absolutely incredible and I can’t wait to share the stage with her.”

Said Stone, “The power of Melissa’s music has always been an inspiration to me. To share the stage yet again with such a legendary artist is an honor. I can’t wait for the incredible experiences and magic we’ll create together on this tour.”
