Olivia Rodrigo ‘Guts’ Concert Special Coming to Netflix

by · Variety

Olivia Rodrigo has announced a concert special to debut on Netflix on Oct. 29.

The streamer will air the “Vampire” pop star’s performance from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, from her “Guts” world tour.

“I am so excited to share the GUTS World Tour with my fans,” Rodrigo said in a statement. “For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in-person, now you can have the best seats in the house! And to the fans who cheered, screamed, and danced with me, I am so glad we get to do it all over again!”

Rodrigo’s “Guts” tour, in support of her second album of the same name, kicked off in February 2024 and runs until March 2025. Supporting acts have included the Breeders, Remi Wolf and Chappell Roan. “Guts,” the album, followed up Rodrigo’s debut “Sour” (which launched her to stardom with songs like “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U”) with even more punky pop hits: “All-American Bitch,” “Bad Idea Right?” and “Get Him Back!,” to name a few.

Reviewing the tour’s first show at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, Calif.), Variety‘s Chris Willman wrote that “Guts” is “maybe the best rock tour we’ll get all year.”

Noting that a large portion of the crowd cheered when Rodrigo asked if it was anyone’s first concert, Willman wrote, “And to those youngsters, we would say: You’ve just officially been spoiled. Not many of your future gigs are going to involve world-class talents, caught in the preternatural bloom of youth, who happen to be equally, proficiently gifted in the areas of singing, songcraft, self-revelation and the fine art of rocking out. It’s gonna be all downhill from here, kids.”

The concert special is directed by James Merryman and produced by Blink, Inc. in association with Lighthouse Management + Media and Interscope Films. Aleen Keshishian also produces alongside Michelle An, Tom Colbourne, Merryman and Zack Morgenroth. John Janick and Steve Berman are executive producers, and Sam Wrench co-produces.
