‘Wheel of Fortune’ Sets Two Weeks of America250-Themed Episodes Sponsored by Coca-Cola (EXCLUSIVE)
by Jennifer Maas · Variety“Wheel of Fortune” is showing its patriotic side this summer with two weeks of USA-themed episodes in honor of America’s 250th birthday sponsored by Coca-Cola.
Titled “Drink In America Presented by Coca-Cola,” the themed episodes of the syndicated “Wheel of Fortune” will air nationwide the week of June 1 and again, “with added elements,” the week of June 29. The special editions of the Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White-hosted game show will invite “viewers to ‘drink in’ the spirit, sights, and stories of America through the lens of one of television’s most beloved shows.”

Per “Wheel of Fortune” producer Sony Pictures Television, the episodes will feature custom Coca-Cola integrations, like a branded wheel wedge that offers “iconic trips to beloved American cities,” including Los Angeles for July 4th celebrations, New York City for an exclusive Times Square ball drop, or Seacrest’s hometown (and Coca-Cola headquarters) in Atlanta.
As a bonus round prize, contestants will also have the chance to win a Jeep (another America250 sponsor).
At-home viewers can enter the “Drink in America Giveaway” for a chance to win a trip to an American National Park or to Universal Studios.

The Coca-Cola and America250 integration for “Wheel of Fortune” was led by Sally Umsted, senior vice president of brand partnerships, licensing and experiences for Sony Pictures Television, game shows division.
