New York Game Awards Set 2025 Ceremony (EXCLUSIVE)

The New York Games Awards’ 2025 event has been set for Jan. 21.

Presented by the New York Videogame Critics Circle (NYVGCC), the awards’ 14th annual ceremony will will honor the critic-chosen best games of 2024. The event will take place at the SVA Theatre in Manhattan with Circle President Harold Goldberg and former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé set as co-hosts.

Tickets for the New York Game Awards are priced at $80 and available for purchase through Eventbrite. NYVGCC is also offering limited access to the awards afterparty with free drinks for $100 per ticket.

More details on this ceremony’s Legend Award winner, musical guests and presenters will be announced at a later date.

The New York Game Awards are NYVGCC’s leading annual fundraiser for its Playing with Purpose writing program. Focused on bringing journalism and game narrative workshops to schools and shelters across NYC, the program has worked with students and interns at the Laboratory School, TAPco, Dreamyard Prep, BronxWorks Shelter, Mott Hall 3 Middle School and Andries Hudde Middle School.

“We can’t believe another year in gaming has passed, but we’re ready to welcome in the 14th annual New York Game Awards,” NYVGCC president and founder Harold Goldberg said. “Each year is a special undertaking where we not only highlight the best of gaming, but we honor the creators, developers, and media who help make this an industry we all love.
