Elfman will appear alongside series lead Stephen Fry in the show as well as fellow cast members Luke Kleintank and Michael Beach. The series was originally announced in February with a straight-to-series order for 12 episodes.
The logline for “The Interrogator” states that it centers on “MI6 agent Conrad Henry (Fry) and his elite team. Elfman will appear in the series regular role of Woodrow. The character is described as someone who “was a rising star in the CIA, until a mission gone awry sent her tumbling down the ladder. Now she finds herself at the D.I.A. as a handler for Henry’s group. She sees it as a demotion — the first step on her climb back up to where she fell from. She supervises Henry’s cases, pushes him and often quarrels with him — Conrad is always seven steps ahead and Woodrow is rarely more than five steps ahead. But the pair have a grudging mutual respect that makes for a fun, strange-bedfellows partnership.”
The role brings Elfman back to broadcast, as she originally broke out with her role in the ABC sitcom “Dharma & Greg.” That show aired for five seasons with Elfman receiving three Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe win. She starred in several other shows since, recently appearing in ABC’s “Shifting Gears” and the AMC drama “Dark Winds.” She also played a main role in AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead.”
She is repped by WME, Artists First, and Latham & Watkins.
