Noel Clarke Charged With Sexual Assault, Voyeurism and Exposure

British actor, filmmaker and “Doctor Who” star Noel Clarke has been charged with multiple sexual offenses including sexual assault, voyeurism and exposure.

As reported by the BBC, on Wednesday the U.K.’s Crown Prosecution Service authorised London’s Metropolitan Police to charge him after a file of evidence was submitted by detectives.

The charges come almost a year after Clark was arrested as his London home was searched by police.

In late September 2025, detectives were seen leaving the actor’s property with boxes, with Clarke arrested and questioned in custody. At the time, the reason for the arrest was unknown and he was eventually released, but it was understood that an investigation into him launched earlier that month led by the central specialist crime command.

In August 2025, Clarke lost a libel case against The Guardian, having sued the newspaper’s publisher for its initial 2021 exposé detailing allegations of sexual misconduct from more than 20 women. He was ordered to pay £3 million ($4 million) of The Guardian’s legal costs. During the six-week trial, over a dozen women testified against Clarke, each claiming that they had personally experienced misconduct by the actor. He denied he had behaved sexually inappropriately with them.

“This judgment is a deserved victory for those women who suffered because of the behavior of Noel Clarke,” said Guardian News and Media editor-in-chief Katharine Viner in a statement following the ruling. “Going to court is difficult and stressful, yet more than 20 women agreed to testify in the High Court, refusing to be bullied or intimidated.”
