The new network enables viewers to move from discovery to purchase without leaving the ad, creating a direct link to ticketing that reportedly increases engagement and boosts conversion rates. CAN has signed deals with more than 20 U.S.cinema circuits, representing more than 400 locations and 2,500 screens.

“Through our new network of theater sites, studios can quickly activate film campaigns using programmatic advertising and drive direct-to-theater ticket sales,” said Boxoffice EVP Global Exhibitor Relations Malcolm MacMillan. “This unique approach delivers the reach, speed, and hyper-targeting of web-based programmatic buying, while ensuring the movie consumer’s direct conversion on cinema websites, without intervention from third-party ticket brokers. With thousands of screens already signed up for our network, CAN will help studios with a turnkey pathway to deploy high-impact, conversion-focused cinema campaigns nationwide.”

CAN was created by Boxoffice in partnership with the interactive advertising platform, MediaKoi, which allows companies to run content across relevant platforms. MediaKoi ads also incorporate live features, trailers, film details and synopsis, real-time local showtimes and direct ticketing pathways.
