‘Call My Agent’ Co-Writer’s New Show ‘Fake,’ #MeToo Thriller ‘When the Night Comes’ Boarded by Sales Banner HAGO (EXCLUSIVE)

Paris-based Have A Good One (HAGO) is launching a slate of ambitious shows at Mipcom, including the thrillers “When the Night Comes,” and “Fake” by “Call My Agent!” co-writer Julien Messemackers.

The banner, which was founded by Virginie Boireaux and Constantin Briest in 2021, is also repping “Blood River,” a four-part period drama producing by UGC for Arte and exploring the roots of apartheid; as well as the timely documentary “The Revolution Of Intimacy Coordinators” penned by Iris Brey (“The Female Gaze: A Screen Revolution”) and Edith Chapin.

“When the night comes” is a six-part thriller inspired by real events, created by Marine Gacem (“Philharmonia”) and produced by Elephant Story for broadcaster France 2.

The limited series follows Stéphanie, Camille and Isabelle who are victims of a serial rapist at a seaside resort and decide to band together to catch him. The cast includes actors who have worked on popular TV series, including Charlie Bruneau (“Je te promets”), Raphaël Lenglet (“Candice Renoir”), Alice Daubelcour (“Astrid & Raphaëlle”), Antoine Hamel (“Cassandre”), Grégoire Bonnet (“The Mad Women’s Ball”) and Christine Citti (“Balthazar”).

“Fake” is produced by GoodCop (Tetra Media / ITV Group) for 13th Street and tells the story of Victoire, a medical secretary and part-time graphic designer whose quiet family life in the suburbs is turned upsite down after her husband is badly injured at work. Victoire discovers they are drowning in debt. Desperate to avoid financial ruin, she teams up with her brother to start a forgery business which eventually attracts the attention of real criminals. The cast is led by Caroline Anglade (“Falco”), Constantin Vidal (“Vortex”), Anne Consigny (“The Returned”).

“Blood River,” is a four-part limited series produced by UGC for Arte. Set in 1837, the mini-series tells the story of a group of Boers and their Black slaves who flee South Africa’s English soldiers, and enforce new laws, including the abolition of slavery. “Anatomy of a Fall” Antoine Reinartz stars in the series, alongside Anna Mouglalis and Marc Zinga.

“The Revolution Of Intimacy Coordinators,” meanwhile, is a one-hour documentary produced by Cinétévé for France Television’s youth-skewing service “Slash.”

Directed by Chapin, the documentary explores the work of intimacy coordinators which involves working with talent and filmmakers during the shooting of sex scenes. The doc features interviews and testimonies by French and international actresses. Brey is part of the documentary, alongside Paloma Garcia Martens, David Thackeray, Alma Jodorowsky, Jehnny Beth, Pauline Chalamet and Ana Girardot.

While at Mipcom, HAGO is also selling the second season of “Sex (re)Education” produced by Next Episode, a UGC company.
