Married 42yo Seremban Teacher Charged with Grooming & Sexually Abusing Her 14yo Student Under Tree, In House

A 42-year-old Malaysian teacher has pleaded not guilty to five counts of sexual offences involving her 14-year-old male student.

Nurul Asyikin Sutan Shahril is accused of committing physical sexual abuse, including oral acts, against the victim. The offences were allegedly carried out under a tree in front of Arowana Apartment Park in Seremban 2 and at a house in Taman Nusa Intan, between 12 September 2025 and 7 April 2026.

Details of the case

According to Harian Metro, the accused was charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (Act 792), read together with Section 16 of the same Act, and punishable under the same provisions.

She also faces charges under Section 377B of the Penal Code, read together with Section 16 of Act 792, which carries a penalty of up to 20 years’ imprisonment and whipping upon conviction. Under Section 16, the offence is punishable by up to five years’ imprisonment and not less than two strokes of the cane.

For two additional charges, she is accused of non-physical sexual offences against the same victim, including sending images of her private parts via WhatsApp for sexual purposes and allegedly inducing the victim to send similar images.

For these offences, she was charged under Sections 15(a)(i) and 15(a)(ii) of Act 792, read together with Section 16 of the same Act, which carry a maximum penalty of 10 years’ imprisonment and a fine of up to RM20,000.

Accused seeks leniency in bail

Deputy Public Prosecutor Norazihah Asmuni offered bail at RM30,000 for each charge with one surety, along with additional conditions, including monthly police reporting, no contact with the victim or prosecution witnesses until the case is concluded, and surrendering her passport.

Defence lawyer Zaflee Pakwanteh requested a lower bail, stating his client is a teacher earning RM6,000 a month, married with two children, and could only afford RM5,000 bail per charge.

He also informed the court that the accused had been transferred to the District Education Office following a police report lodged against her.

The court then set bail at RM25,000 for all charges, with the three additional conditions requested by the prosecution.
