The Food Safety Authority (FSAI) has announced a recall of a number of smoked salmon products.

They are from the Centra Inspired By and SuperValu Smoked Salmon ranges.

The FSAI says the recall is due to listeria monocytogenes being detected.

The batches affected are:

SuperValu Signature Taste Dingle Gin Infused Smoked Salmon 100g 31/10/2026

SuperValu Signature Taste Handcut Smoked Salmon Ribbons 80g 04/11/2026

SuperValu Signature Taste Applewood Smoked Salmon 100g 31/10/2026

SuperValu Signature Taste Dill and Black Pepper Smoked Salmon 100g 04/11/2026

It comes after another recall of SuperValu own-brand smoked salmon due to the presence of listeria monocytogenes last Sunday.

The recalled products are SuperValu Smoked Salmon 40g and SuperValu Smoked Salmon 150g, with a use-by date of 17 October 2026.

The FSAI says symptoms of an infection from listeria monocytogenes can include "mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea".

It says the infection can lead to more serious complications for people who are more vulnerable. Those include pregnant women, infants, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.

Retailers have been requested to remove the affected batches from sale and to display recall notices at point-of-sale.
