Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce will celebrate their wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, according to reports.

A law enforcement official briefed on the security plans told the Associated Press (AP) that the couple will host a smaller rehearsal dinner on Thursday night before tying the knot at the New York arena.

Stars including TV presenter Graham Norton and actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge have been spotted arriving in New York City.

Norton was photographed with his husband Jono McLeod at JFK Airport, wearing a blue shirt and shorts, while Waller-Bridge sported a black hoodie.

Workers have been seen lifting large props into the venue including a grand piano, tree branches and a large carpet, which was unveiled outside one entrance and quickly removed, while "no parking" signs have been placed around the arena.

A fleet of forklift trucks and lorries have been seen loading equipment into the venue this week, with a box with "40" mirrorball" written on it pictured in the back of a lorry.

Food has also been seen being delivered to Madison Square Garden, however some items have been completely covered, including one marked "garden party", with even delivery staff reportedly unaware of what they are carrying.

Since the pair announced their engagement in August 2025, fans have speculated about the wedding day and venue of choice with rumours mounting in recent weeks that it would take place over the fourth of July weekend.

The date marks US independence day, a national holiday known to be one of Swift's favourites, with the singer historically celebrating the day by throwing big parties.

Nothing has been publicly confirmed by the couple, however, crews have been seen unloading equipment from trucks outside of Madison Square Garden, including a large carpet which was briefly unveiled outside one entrance and then promptly removed.

According to AP, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at a press conference on Wednesday that the department was tracking an event at the New York arena.

Tisch said: "The NYPD will, of course, have a detail in place, but I’m not going to go into more specifics at this time.

New York City’s mayor, Zohran Mamdani, also confirmed to AP that a permit was filed for a large event.

He said: "We are fully prepared. There isn’t anything to share beyond that."

It comes weeks after Swift choked back tears as she made history as the youngest woman to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

She paid an emotional tribute to her parents and brother at the New York ceremony, as she thanked them for uprooting their lives and moving from Pennsylvania to Nashville so she could pursue her music career.

Swift and Kelce made headlines in August after announcing their engagement in a joint Instagram post which read: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

Swift sang about the Kansas City Chiefs player in hit album, The Life of a Showgirl, including on her song, Opalite, which references his birth stone, opal.

The union of the Love Story singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, dubbed "America's royal wedding," is one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings of the century.
