Former RTÉ managing director Liam Miller dies

The death has occurred of former RTÉ executive producer and managing director, with responsibility for organisation and development, Liam Miller.

Mr Miller served as the executive producer for the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet and managed Ireland's hosting duties and entries during the mid-90s.

He had also worked as a director and producer on Today Tonight.

Mr Miller began his career in RTÉ in May 1969 and retired in December 2003.
