· RTE.ieTributes have been paid to a "fearless" press photographer after he died in a fatal traffic collision yesterday in Co Meath.
Colin Keegan died after a collision between his motorcycle and a car in Dunboyne, Co Meath.
The collision happened on the R156 at Harlockstown at around 12.15pm yesterday.
Press Photographers Ireland paid tribute to their "much-loved member and colleague".
In a statement, they said: "Colin was a multi-award-winning press photographer who spent his career capturing the heart, soul and history of Ireland.
"He was fearless when the job demanded it, fiercely competitive, and had an extraordinary nose for news. But for those who worked alongside him, it was the man behind the camera who made him so special."
They said Mr Keegan "was generous with his knowledge, generous with his time, and always had the back of his fellow photographers".
"We have lost a legend, an inspiration and a friend," they added.
