Late Late reveals guests for first show of new season

· RTE.ie

Siobhán McSweeney, Caitríona Balfe, and Liam Neeson will be among Patrick Kielty's guests on the first Late Late Show of the new season on Friday night on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.

Siobhán McSweeney

Announcing Friday's guests, The Late Late Show said: "Siobhán McSweeney will discuss the runaway success of The Traitors Ireland. She'll tell Patrick why she rules the castle with an iron fist as Lady Muck and how she celebrated winning her first BAFTA. She'll also be joined in studio by some of the banished and murdered players from this year's series as anticipation for next week's final grows.

A look back at a certain Sunday in July...

"The stars of the biggest sports story this summer will be live in studio, still riding the green and red wave! Members of the Mayo team and manager Andy Moran will share what life has been like since the All-Ireland victory that got the country, and the world, talking.

Kobe McDonald

"Star player and GAA wunderkind Kobe McDonald is back from Australia, where buzz is building around him as the most exciting new talent in Aussie Rules, while Mayo stalwart and fan favourite Aidan O'Shea will reflect on what the win meant for him after a decade and a half of ferociously battling for Sam.

Caitríona Balfe

"Irish star Caitríona Balfe will join Patrick to chat about her role in Sense and Sensibility - a new take on Jane Austen's iconic story of love and sisterhood. The Monaghan actress will chat about her attraction to period drama and bonding with her co-stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles. She'll also talk about saying goodbye to Outlander this year after eight epic seasons and why filming Kenneth Branagh's Belfast is still one of her proudest experiences.

Liam Neeson

"Actor Liam Neeson and historian Catherine Corless will be in studio to tell Patrick about their new film, The Lost Children of Tuam. Liam, who is one of the producers of the film, will talk about why Catherine's story had to be heard and Catherine will discuss how the fight for the truth is still ongoing.

Catherine Corless

"Following the success of their chart-topping, record-breaking album The User's Guide to Being Human, The Script will drop into studio for some live music and a chat. Danny O'Donoghue will talk about how married life is treating him, how he continues to honour Mark Sheehan's memory through music, and what fans can expect as the band prepare to head out on the road in the coming weeks.
