Sex is over too fast, a third of adults moan — with men twice as likely to be left wanting more: new survey

Wham, bam, no thank you, ma’am.

More than a third of sex-havers surveyed say speedy sack sessions leave them wanting more, according to a new relationship study — with gents nearly twice as likely as the ladies to express unhappiness over an apparent pattern of boinking brevity.

Nooky know-how app Beducated recently slid into the DM’s of some 2,300 sexually active adults around the world to compile the not-prematurely released 2024 Summer Survey — with the aforementioned unwelcome level of efficiency among respondents’ chief complaints, the sexperts said.

Thirty to 60 minutes is the desired ideal length of sheet monster playtime, the collated data showed — with a whopping number saying they weren’t reaching that goal.

Erectile dysfunction, mismatched desires and busy routines were named as possible time and energy stealers.

“This finding suggests that we need to slow down during sex — especially those in long-term relationships,” study authors warned.

And not only do we want our sessions to last longer, we’re also eager to get out of the rutting rut, the pros proved.

While more than 80% of survey respondents called penetration a sex menu staple, 70% were fine going without the old in-out as part of a session — pointing, the experts said, to an evolution in our intimacy value system.

Beducated co-founder Mariah Freya pointed to “small yet intriguing shifts in preferences” year over year.

These “speak to deeper exploration and changing dynamics in intimacy,” she explained.

One in 10 men, for example, confessed to enjoying oral copulation combined with simultaneous anal pleasure, it was revealed.

However, missionary was still far and away the favored penetrative position.

“It’s fascinating to witness how people are embracing both traditional and modern aspects of sexual expression, and how these insights can further shape the conversation around healthy relationships and sexuality,” Freya said.

Overall, less than half of the participants called their sex lives “mostly” or “very” satisfying, giving their boudoir behaviors a median score of 3 out of 5.

The most sexually satisfied subgroup turned out to be women 40 and over, the survey showed.

“Many women have come to terms with their bodies by the time they’ve reached that age, which makes performance anxiety less likely,” Freya surmised.

“The more relaxed we are in the bedroom, the more likely we are to enjoy ourselves.”
