The "world's largest floating book fair" has arrived in Liverpool for October half term. Logos Hope was scheduled to arrive at Liverpool's Cruise Port from Friday, October 23 until Thursday, November 5. However, its visit was delayed due to weather conditions from forecasted storms.
The ship began welcoming visitors at Liverpool's cruise terminal from 1pm today (October 27). GBA Ships, a non-profit faith-based organisation which operates the ship, claims it is the largest floating book fair, offering a selection of over 5,000 book titles, curated to suit a wide range of interests and age groups.
Before becoming a floating book fair, Logos Hope was a car ferry operating in Europe. Built in 1973, she still has the original 53-year-old engines and life boats.
The ECHO was onboard as visitors arrived to explore books covering topics such as faith, children’s literature, science and technology, arts and cookery, languages, and personal development.
