Thousands of people ran through Liverpool city centre this morning (Sunday, October 4), all taking part in the Everton 10k long-distance run. The event is organised by Everton FC in support of its charitable arm, Everton in the Community, but people are more than welcome to run for other charities as well.
Setting off from Everton FC's home ground, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the race started at 9:30am, as the route led runners near to some of Liverpool's most iconic landmarks, including the Royal Liver Building and The Beatles statue, before returning to the stadium for the finish line
Our Liverpool ECHO photographer was on hand to document the event and take lots of photos and videos of the runners as well as those who turned out to offer their support.
