Young Naas violin player rewarded for musical talent

by Kildare Reporter · Leinster LeaderEight-year-old Julia Dillane from Naas has earned a Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) Spotlight Award, showcasing her exceptional musical talent.
Julia was honored for her stellar performance of Handel's Musette in G, played as part of her Grade III violin exam in May when she was just seven years old.
The award was presented at a ceremony in the Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, by Mr. Paul Plunket, General Manager of Ace Autobody, the main sponsors of the event.
The RIAM Spotlight Awards celebrate the exceptional achievements of some of the nearly 30,000 students who undertake RIAM exams and assessments each year.
A student at Jam Music School in Naas, Julia balances her love of music with her studies in Mr. C O'Flynn's third-class group at Mercy Convent Primary School, Naas.
Her achievement highlights the talent and dedication of young musicians across Ireland.
