Former Jazz guard Kris Dunn halts Utah's comeback bid in Clippers win

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Utah Jazz coach Will Hardy was curious what former Utah guard Kris Dunn would have to say on Sunday.
"Kris used to talk trash to me when I was coaching him, so I have no idea what he'll say to me tonight being on the other side," Hardy said with a smile before the game.
Turns out, Dunn had a great opportunity to speak his mind at the end of the LA Clippers' 116-105 win over the Utah Jazz.
Dunn's corner 3-pointer with 2:31 left halted Utah's fourth-quarter comeback attempt, pushing LA's lead back to double-digits for good.
The Jazz had cut LA's 22-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter to 7 with 3:18 remaining. And Dunn's 3-pointer ended a 20-6 Utah run that had put some pressure on the home team after it had held a sizeable advantage for much of the game.
LA started the night by scoring the first 10 points, and that run ultimately set the tone for the evening. Even when Utah did push back — as it did multiple times in the first quarter — the Clippers always had another run in them.
LA led by as many as 23 points before Utah tried to make things interesting at the end.
Ivica Zubac had 22 points and 11 rebounds and James Harden had 20 points and 11 assists to lead the Clippers.
Jordan Clarkson led the Jazz with 21 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter to try and pull Utah back. Isaiah Collier, who started the second half in place of Keyonte George, had a career-high eight assists and finished with a team-best +11.
