CUPE 2669, which represents around 270 workers at Saskatoon Public Library locations, has notified SPL about a one-day work stoppage planned for that day. According to SPL, all branches will reopen on Wednesday.
A tentative bargaining agreement was reached between the two sidesin September after almost two years of bargaining and mediation. The main issues during negotiations centred around wages, cost of living, and safety measures for employees.
