April 7 (UPI) -- Pop music star Lady Gaga canceled Monday's concert, the final Montreal stop on her Mayhem Ball tour, as she battles a respiratory infection.

"My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and to be honest I don't think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve," the 40-year-old singer wrote on her Instagram Stories Monday.

"I know how deeply disappointing this is. And I truly could not feel worse about letting you down."

The Grammy winner kicked off her latest tour in July.

It is scheduled to wrap up in New York City on April 13.

A trailer released Monday for the upcoming, fashion-themed comedy movie, The Devil Wears Prada 2, featured a new song from Lady Gaga and Doechii called "Runway."
