NBC announces civilian 'Traitors' fall premiere date
by Fred Topel · UPIJune 18 (UPI) -- NBC announced the premiere date for The Traitors: New Blood on Thursday. The season will premiere Sept.17 at 8 p.m. EDT with a two-hour episode.
Subsequent episodes air Thursdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. New episodes stream Fridays on Peacock.
New Blood will feature civilian participants. The show is casting 22 Americans from a search of 60,000.
Previous seasons featured reality stars competing in challenges in a Scottish castle. The first four seasons streamed on Peacock.
Alan Cumming returns as host. Season 3 won five Primetime Emmys, including one for Cumming as host, Outstanding Reality Competition, and Outstanding Directing, Cinematography and Editing for a Reality Competition.
