Zac Brown Band, Jon Batiste to perform at 'Block Party 250' special

June 17 (UPI) -- CBS has announced an initial lineup for its Great American Block Party 250 special.

CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil and Entertainment Tonight co-host Nischelle Turner will host the three-hour primetime special to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Block Party 250 will air from Washington July 4 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and also stream on Paramount+ and CBS News 24/7. The special will feature musical performances and culminate with the fireworks show.

Zac Brown Band, Jon Batiste, Goo Goo Dolls, The War and Treaty and other artists are slated to take the stage.

The special will also feature moments from July Fourth events in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and more.

Zac Brown Band performed the national anthem at the White House UFC Freedom 250 event Sunday on President Donald Trump's 80th birthday.
