'Virgin River' actor Stewart McLean found dead in Canada at 45

May 23 (UPI) -- Virgin River, Murder in a Small Town, Happy Face and Arrow actor Stewart McLean has been found dead in Canada at the age of 45.

Canada's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team confirmed Friday that McLean's remains had been discovered shortly after the missing person's case was determined to be a homicide.

No details about the manner or circumstances of his death have been released.

McLean had last been seen at his home in Lions Bay, B.C., on May 15.

He was reported missing on May 18.

"It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved client, Stew McLean. I was fortunate to have worked with Stew for more than 10 years. He was always such a pleasure to deal with -- dedicated, professional, eager, and endlessly funny!" his representatives at Lewis Talent Inc. wrote on Facebook.

"Many casting directors have reached out to share their condolences with Stew's family and with our agency, and every message says the same thing: what a truly great guy he was, and how deeply he will be missed."
