May 1 (UPI) -- Meryl Streep stepped out to support Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci at their Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

Blunt, 43, and Tucci, 65, were honored with the 2,841st and 2,842nd stars at the Los Angeles landmark Thursday for their contributions to Motion Pictures.

The event took place ahead of the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Blunt, Tucci and Streep reprise their roles of Emily Charlton, Nigel Kipling and Miranda Priestly in the sequel to the 2006 film based on the Lauren Weisberger novel.

"The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A double star ceremony like this is rare, and it feels especially meaningful to honor two artists whose work and friendship have resonated so deeply with audiences around the world," Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement.

Other attendees included Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens in theaters Friday. Anne Hathaway also returns to star as Andy Sachs.
