Beyonce, Nicole Kidman bring their daughters to Met Gala
by Annie Martin · UPIMay 5 (UPI) -- Celebrity mother-daughter duos stepped out Monday at the 2026 Met Gala.
Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé attended the event with her husband, rapper Jay-Z, and their 14-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
Beyoncé co-chaired this year's gala, which featured a "Costume Art" theme and a "Fashion is Art" dress code. The singer wore a sheer nude Olivier Rousteing gown encrusted with a diamond skeleton.
Blue Ivy, meanwhile, sported a white Balenciaga dress with a matching jacket.
"It feels surreal, because my daughter is here," Beyoncé told Vogue of returning to the Met Gala after 10 years. "I am excited to experience it through her eyes."
Oscar-winning actress and Met Gala co-chair Nicole Kidman also had one of her daughters in tow -- 17-year-old Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.
Kidman wore a sequined red Chanel dress with feathered cuffs, while Sunday Rose sported a pink Dior gown with floral-inspired appliqués and matching earrings.
Organizers previously told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018 that the Met Gala was implementing an age restriction of 18 and up, with some exceptions made for minors accompanied by their parents.
Other famous guests at this year's gala included Blackpink members Jennie, Lisa, Rosé and Jisoo, along with other K-pop stars.
