BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans learns of devastating news hours before Blackpool

Wynne Evans has learned of devastating news just hours before the BBC Strictly Come Dancing Blackpool special. Bet MGM make Wynne, the face of the GoCompare adverts, an odds-on favourite to exit Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.

The Welsh opera singer is 3/5 to be voted off, with Pete Wicks and Jamie Borthwick the other two celebrities looking in danger according to the betting. The Only Way Is Essex star Wicks is 5/2 to be the eighth celebrity to leave the show, with BBC EastEnders actor Borthwick at 3/1.

UK Director at BetMGM, Sam Behar, said: “Wynne Evans might have survived last week’s dance-off but the betting suggests he might not be as lucky this time. The Welshman is the 3/5 favourite to leave Strictly and become the eighth celebrity to head home ahead of Pete Wicks at 5/2 and Jamie Borthwick at 3/1.”

JB Gill is at 8/1 with Montell Douglas 12/1. Shayne Ward was the latest celebrity to leave Strictly this series after being beaten by Wynne in last weekend's dance-off and the Opera singer will be looking to avoid being there this weekend.

Bet365's latest market gives an implied probability of 40% that Wynne is the next to go, with Pete Wicks following behind him as second favourite in the odds list. "Wynne Evans is the 4/6 favourite to leave Strictly this week with bookies putting him clear in the market after he appeared in the dreaded dance-off last weekend. This weekend may be a step too far for the Opera Singer with the betting odds saying there's a 60% chance that it will be his turn to be eliminated in Blackpool," said Jake Ashton - Entertainment Betting Expert - OLBG.com.

Chris McCausland heads into another week of Strictly as the betting favourite to win with his odds keeping him clear at the top of the market.
