Margot Robbie welcomes first child with husband Tom Ackerley

Margot Robbie has reportedly welcomed her first child with husband Tom Ackerley. The 34 year old Australian actress gave birth to a baby boy on October 17, according to The Mail on Sunday.

She reportedly went into labour two weeks ago, just before her due date. Earlier this year, it was reported that the Academy Award-nominated star was expecting her first child.

Not long after, the Barbie and The Wolf of Wall Street actress was spotted showcasing her growing baby bump as she attended Wimbledon with husband Tom. The couple started dating in 2014 after meeting on the set of Suite Francaise the previous year.

While Margot was in front of the camera, Tom worked as an assistant director on the film. Initially just friends, romance blossomed and they married two years later.

Margot later told Vogue Magazine: "I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long."

She added: "I was always in love with him, but I thought: 'Oh, he would never love me back. Don't make it weird, Margot. Don't be stupid and tell him that you like him.' And then it happened and I was like: 'Of course we're together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before."

The actress' glittering career started out by playing Donna Freedman on Neighbours from 2008 to 2011. Following her departure from the Australian soap opera, Margot Robbie launched a successful film career.

She has since featured in high-profile films such as Suicide Squad, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and I, Tonya. Additionally, she has ventured into production with projects like the Hulu comedy series Dollface.
