TV star Ruth Langsford has been keeping a dignified silence since she and Eamonn Holmes announced their split in May, but she's now shown off a sassy new look

Ruth Langsford has put the drama with her former partner Eamonn Holmes firmly in the rear-view mirror and showcased a stunning new look. The 64 year old Loose Women stalwart has remained tight-lipped following the shock revelation earlier this year that she and GB News presenter Eamonn have decided to part ways.

Despite Ruth keeping mum about the split, Eamonn hasn't held back from sharing his feelings. Caught on camera at the TRIC Awards in June, he confessed to The Mirror: "I'm not okay. This is not a good time at all," although he hinted at a potential amicable rapport in the future, saying: "It's too early to say, but I hope we can still be friends."

On social media, Ruth has been proudly parading her vibrant new chapter. On the flip side, Eamonn has found companionship with 42 year old Katie Alexander, a couples' therapist, after the break up.

Yet, Ruth's dazzling transformation screams that she's utterly embracing life afresh, reports OK!. Taking to Instagram, she captivated fans with a snazzy getup ready for a weekend lunch with friends, wittily captioning it "Casual lunch," adorned in items from her QVC clothing line.

Observant followers didn't miss noting the absence of a stairlift in the home she shared with Eamonn. According to the Daily Mail, Ruth had the stairlift removed from their shared home before Eamonn returned to gather essentials for his sunny Ibiza trip with new partner Katie.

Eamonn's requirement for the stairlift came about after a challenging health period due to a spinal injury. It was fitted in their Weybridge residence last January when Eamonn was dealing with the aftermath of a slipped disc and a misaligned pelvis, which caused severe back pain.

Following surgery in 2022, another unfortunate incident saw him fall down a staircase, resulting in a tumble down 18 steps and a damaged shoulder.
