Rebecca Ryan, known for her role as Lydia Chambers on 'Coronation Street', recently took to Instagram to announce she’s expecting her second child. The 33 year old, who has also starred in 'Waterloo Road', 'Casualty', and 'Shameless', tied the knot with Dan Acraman in September 2022.

They were delighted to welcome their first daughter, Aurora, in April 2023. Rebecca posted several photos flaunting her baby bump with the cheeky caption: "Sleeps overrated anyway, here comes baby No.2" along with a red heart emoji.

Her announcement set social media abuzz, with reactions pouring in from thrilled fans and celebrities alike. Brother Jack James Ryan, also a Corrie alumnus, expressed his excitement by commenting: "Can't wait to meet my new best mate."

Meanwhile, glamour model Rhian Sugden chimed in with: "Here she issssss! " complete with heart-eyed emojis, and a fan commented: "Awhhh amazing, congratulations to you all" followed by red hearts.

Since Aurora's birth, Rebecca and Dan have been happily sharing their joy on social media. Rebecca even shared adorable snaps of Aurora to celebrate her first birthday last April, reports the Mirror.

Rebecca couldn't hide her joy as she honoured her daughter Aurora's first birthday with a touching Instagram post: "My darling girl Aurora, where has this year gone? The immeasurable joy and love you have brought into my life is something I will be forever thankful for. Your cheeky smile lights up every room, and I just love watching you grow and change every single day. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Happy 1st birthday my girl."

Rebecca is preparing to expand her family as she awaits the arrival of her second child, who will join a talented family roster that includes her brother, known for his work on ITV soaps. Fans were initially surprised to learn Rebecca and Jack were siblings when she joined the cast of the same ITV soap he was working in just 10 months after him.

The fact that they were siblings was also a surprise to the soap bosses after both were cast in significant roles. Discussing the topic with The Mirror, Rebecca shared how unaware colleagues were, saying: "Nobody at 'Coronation Street' had any idea. When I joined, I'd be talking to people and say, 'Oh, yeah, my brother works here'. And they'd go, 'Really, who's your brother? What? Jack! ' It's a dream come true to be working on the show at the same time, but it's a total coincidence."
