Zayn Malik issues urgent warning to fans as he pleads 'try not to hurt anybody'

Zayn Malik has urged fans to "not hurt anybody" amid chaotic scenes at his sold-out London gig. The 31-year-old singer had to reschedule his UK and US tour dates after the sudden death of his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, who tragically fell from a balcony in Argentina last October.

Zayn's first solo tour was set to start in San Francisco that month but was postponed due to Liam's death. The 'Pillow Talk' star resumed his series of sold-out concerts last week and performed at London's Eventim Apollo on Tuesday, shortly after Liam's poignant funeral.

At the service, Zayn briefly reunited with fellow One Direction members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, mourning alongside Liam's family and ex-girlfriend Cheryl, mother to his seven-year-old son, Bear. During his Tuesday show, as the audience surged forward, Zayn addressed the crowd, asking for calm to ensure everyone's safety: "If you're at the back try not to push because people at the front are getting a little bit squished. We're all here to have a good time, I'm not going anywhere. Just try not to hurt anybody. Let's have a good time tonight," he implored.

Zayn has more gigs lined up in Manchester, Leeds, and Newcastle, with a particularly poignant show planned in Liam's hometown of Wolverhampton before he heads to the States. In the wake of his former bandmate's tragic death, Zayn took to Instagram to announce a pause in his solo tour to mourn his dear friend.

"Given the heartbreaking loss experienced this week, I've made the decision to postpone the US leg of the STAIRWAY TO THE SKY Tour," his statement read. "The dates are being rescheduled for January and I'll post them as soon as it's all set in the next few days. Your tickets will remain valid for the new dates. Love you all and thank you for your understanding," he continued, reports the Mirror.

The artist is showcasing tracks from his latest album, 'Room Under the Stairs', which dropped in May. Liam was clearly on his mind as he kicked off his sold-out UK tour earlier in the month, where he honoured the 'Strip That Down' singer.

At the Leeds First Direct Arena, fans saw a touching tribute on the backdrop stating: "Liam Payne 1993-2024. Love you bro," complete with a red heart. His Edinburgh performance, originally scheduled for the day of Liam's funeral, has been moved to December.
