BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell completely unrecognisable without iconic red hair

Dianne Buswell has shocked fans as she shared throwback photos of her with very different looks. The Strictly Come Dancing star, 35, is well known for her fiery red hair.

But she gave fans a surprise as she shared some of her previous hairstyle over the years. The Australian dancer looked unrecogniseable with a honey-blonde hairdo, styled in a twisted style away from her face and cut to shoulder length.

In another throwback snap, the BBC ballroom star was seen with jet-black hair and a choppy fringe. A third photo showed her with chocolate brown tresses highlighted with caramel tones.

Since joining Strictly in 2017, Dianne has experimented with several variations of her iconic ruby-red hair. Initially, she had deeper cherry cola-toned curls with a side parting. By 2018, her hair had transformed into a vibrant pillar box red colour from root to tip.

In 2021, Dianne switched up her look again, trading her red hair dye for an electric orange shade which later transitioned into a candy pink moment with pale pink strands framing her face for extra Barbie-esque appeal. Speaking of Barbie, the Strictly wig team also played around with Dianne's hair, including a platinum blonde wig for when she starred as Barbie during a Strictly pro routine on tour.

Earlier this year, Joe Sugg's girlfriend turned heads with an uber-short pixie cut wig during a pro routine. She took to social media, writing: "Last night's group dance hair! Deffo a Diana in this wig! What do we think of the short dark hair? ," and gave a shoutout to hairstylist Georgia Woodland.
