BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood shares 'new week' and says 'first time ever'

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood revealed how much he was looking forward to a brand new special week coming up after Halloween week. The hit BBC series already has several special theme weeks, including Halloween and Movies.

But it was revealed that a new week - Icons - would be added to the schedule this year to mark the show's 20th anniversary. On Saturday November 2, the celebrities and their dance partners will be taking to the floor to dance to songs by their favourite musicians.

The aim of Icons week is to honour some of the biggest and most influential singers and bands in the history of the music industry. The chosen icons, dances and songs will all be revealed in due course.

Craig revealed the judges would also be getting involved in the action as he appeared on The One Show on Friday Night: "I love this, the new one. This is going to be great because it can be anyone Marilyn Monroe to George Michael...Boy George...anybody you want it to be.

"This is great. We've never had it before. It's going to be great fun and its the first time we've actually ever done this so I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to seeing who I'm going to be as well."

Craig also revealed he would love to have a 0 paddle to use to judge the Strictly dances. He was asked if he would use a 0 paddle if he had one available on Strictly Come Dancing and said: "Yes darling. Give me one.

"Of course I'd use it - they won't allow it darling."
