Ubisoft One of Multiple Companies to Bid for Dishonored Dev Arkane

At least three bids for Arkane Studios

by · Push Square

Ubisoft is one of multiple companies to submit a bid for Dishonored team Arkane Studios, as Microsoft looks to offload the developer in the coming weeks.

That's according to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, who claims that at least two other gaming firms have tried to acquire the developer. No deal has been agreed with Microsoft yet, and Xbox has also weighed up "selling the studio to its management".

Any potential deal is likely to include Arkane being allowed to finish its development of Marvel's Blade, according to the Bloomberg piece, which is set for release in the next year or two. A PS5 version of the game has never been confirmed.

Previously, a cut-off point regarding any potential deal involving Arkane Studios was set for 13th November 2026. That has now been extended by a month, however, to 13th December. Schreier has previously stated he is confident a deal will be struck for Arkane to continue existing under a different owner.

About Liam Croft

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he's found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.

Surprised Ubisoft can afford it, but I hope they get rescued and Blade releases regardless.
