Instead of limiting the celebrations to cake-cutting and fan gatherings, they decided to spread happiness among those who need love and companionship the most
by Rasti Amena · The Siasat DailyHyderabad: For Shah Rukh Khan, love has always been more than just a word. It is the emotion he has built his stardom around, and perhaps that is why his fans go the extra mile to celebrate him. From re-releasing his iconic films to organizing grand birthday events, SRK fans across the world have found their own ways of expressing their admiration for the superstar.
And Hyderabad was no different this year.
One fan club here chose a rather heartwarming way to celebrate the actor’s 61st birthday on November 2. Instead of limiting the celebrations to cake-cutting and fan gatherings, they decided to spread happiness among those who need love and companionship the most.
A group of die-hard Shah Rukh Khan fans, known as SRK Power Girls, celebrated the superstar’s birthday with elderly residents at Fatima Old Age Home in the Falaknuma area of Hyderabad.
Why Hyderabad’s SRK Power Girls chose an old age home
Speaking to Siasat.com, Murtuza, the founder of the fan club, shared that the celebration was organised with the heartfelt purpose of spreading love, happiness and kindness among the elderly residents.
The initiative was not just about celebrating a superstar but also about spending meaningful time with the elderly and making them feel special.
The SRK Power Girls Fan Club shared, “The happiness and excitement among the residents were truly heartwarming. Their beautiful smiles, emotional reactions, loving conversations and heartfelt blessings made the entire visit unforgettable. One of the most touching moments was when the elderly residents lovingly blessed our team, making us feel that their prayers and affection were the greatest gifts we could receive.”
Adding further, the fan club said, “Through this initiative, SRK Power Girls wanted to convey a meaningful message: True fandom is not only about celebrating a superstar but also about following the values of love, kindness, compassion and humanity.”
The celebration turned into a beautiful reminder that sometimes the best way to express love for someone is by spreading that love to others.
Hyderabad SRK fans celebrate with orphans too
This was not the only heartwarming birthday initiative by Shah Rukh Khan fans in Hyderabad. Ahead of the superstar’s birthday, another fan club celebrated the occasion with children at an orphanage in Saroornagar by distributing pizzas and sharing happiness with them.
Such initiatives show how SRK’s popularity goes beyond movie screens and fan clubs. For many admirers, celebrating their favourite star also means embracing the love, kindness and generosity that they associate with him.
