Top performances

Baseball

– Hudson Jones, Coronado: The senior went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs to help the Cougars outlast Fallbrook (Calif.) for a 12-11 victory.

– Jayson Marquez, Desert Oasis: The sophomore went 3-for-4 with a triple in the Diamondbacks’ 9-5 win over Crimson Cliffs (Utah).

– Brooks Perkins, Virgin Valley: The senior went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Bulldogs rolled past Western 22-5 in six innings.

– Brody Ricci, Clark: The sophomore went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs in the Chargers’ 14-5 loss to Palisades (Calif.).

– Taven Thaker, Cheyenne: The senior went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in the Desert Shields’ 6-1 victory over Nuview Bridge (Calif.).

Softball

– Gia Christmas, Sierra Vista: The freshman had two homers and three RBIs to help the Mountain Lions beat Western 20-5 in four innings.

– Madelynne Cotton, Green Valley: The junior had a home run and three RBIs as the Gators defeated Liberty 10-2.

– Taylor Johns, Palo Verde: The senior went 4-for- 4 with a home run and five RBIs to help the Panthers rout Coronado 13-0.

– Emiko Kalani, Mojave: The sophomore went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and two RBIs to help the Rattlers cruise past Eldorado 18-0 in three innings.

– Breanna Nielsen, Shadow Ridge: The sophomore went 4-for-4 with a triple and an RBI to lead the Mustangs to a five-inning 13-3 victory over Basic.

– Veyda Simon, Desert Oasis: The senior went 4-for-5 with six RBIs in the Diamondbacks’ four-inning 25-0 win over Cheyenne.

Boys volleyball

– Oakland Liugalua, Cadence: The freshman logged 16 digs, 10 kills, an ace and a block to help the Cougars defeat Durango 25-18, 25-21, 25-16.

– Mikelle Reyes, Las Vegas: The senior posted 11 kills and six service aces in the Wildcats’ 25-17, 25-9, 25-11 victory over Canyon Springs.

– Michael Weinand, Bonanza: The senior had 15 kills and 10 digs for the Bengals in their 25-23, 25-22, 26-24 victory over Liberty.
