Thunderstorms popping up in Las Vegas Valley

Thunderstorms are starting to pop up in the Las Vegas Valley on Monday afternoon.

At 2:30 p.m., radar indicated a few storms were affecting the north and western valleys. Centennial Hills received a light shower.

There was a 20 percent chance of rain today, the National Weather Service said, as a low-pressure system from the Pacific Ocean moved into Southern Nevada.
