London Tube and Train Disruption This Weekend: Full List of Closures for August 15-16 2026

Out and about in London this weekend? Watch out for planned service disruption on TfL tubes and trains. The District line, DLR and Elizabeth line are among the London transport services that’ll be hit by closures on August 15-16.

Following the fifth heatwave of the summer this week, the weekend is – thankfully – set to be much cooler in London. That’ll no doubt be great news for music fans heading to big-ticket gigs by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande (even if the latter is indoors). Other stuff to get excited about in the capital on Aug 15-16 is the opening of a new club called Magazine – Open Air, the Formula E ePrix final and a free music festival at King’s Cross.

London travel disruption and tube closures, August 15-16 2026

District line

  • On Sunday August 16, no trains between Turnham Green and Richmond.
  • Westbound trains will not call at Barons Court until November. If travelling west, go one stop east to West Kensington and then change trains for westbound services.

DLR

  • On Sun Aug 16, no service between Shadwell and Tower Gateway.

Windrush line

  • On Sun Aug 16, no trains between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction

Mildmay line

  • On Sun Aug 16, no service between Willesden Junction and Richmond.

    • A reduced service will run between Shepherd’s Bush and Clapham, and between Camden Road and Willesden Junction

Elizabeth line

  • On Sun Aug 16, no trains between West Drayton and Slough until 9am.

Piccadilly line

  • As with the District line, westbound trains won’t call at Barons Court until November. If travelling west, go one stop east to Earl’s Court and change trains for westbound services.
