Details On The Upcoming André Leon Talley: Style Is Forever Documentary

The late great André Leon Tally is the topic of another documentary. Coming next month to select theaters and On Demand, André Leon Talley: Style Is Forever explores Talley‘s life and journey from Durham, NC to becoming Vogue’s first Black creative director, and the final years of his life. Presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and from executive producers SCAD President Paula Wallace, Colman Domingo and Raúl Domingo, and co-directed by SCAD alumnus Clay Haskell and journalist Zach Stafford, the film features interviews with some of Talley’s closest confidantes and includes never-before-seen footage.

The film features interviews with Tom Ford, Diane von Furstenberg, Anna Wintour, Paula Wallace, Zac Posen, Polly Mellon, Veronica Webb, Bethann Hardison, Isabella Rossellini, Zach Stafford, Pat Cleveland, Maureen Dowd, Norma Kamali, Vanessa Friedman, Vera Wang, Jonathan Becker, Lauren Santo Domingo, Law Roach, Derek Blasberg, Constance White, Ivan Shaw, Carlos Nazario, Kimora Lee Simmons, Lindsey Peoples Wagner, Phillip Bloch, and Bradley Bowers.

Many will remember The Gospel According to André, the 2018 documentary from Kate Novack. This doc also included interviews with Anna Wintour, Tom Ford, and Manolo Blahnik and received mostly positive reviews from critics. The new doc will premiere in New York City at IFC Center on October 9th and be available to view from the comfort of your couch on the same day.
