by Deborah Ferguson · 5 NBCDFWA 105th birthday is something to celebrate. And when the birthday girl is still active and healthy, that's Something Good.
Kathryn Lacy Mitchell is a retired Dallas ISD educator, and she's still teaching at the age of 105.

The Dallas Park and Recreation Department said Kathryn is at WellMed Senior Activity Center in Oak Cliff five days a week, the oldest participant there.
WellMed said her regular attendance highlights the important role community recreation programs play in enhancing seniors' quality of life.
