Celebrate the 4th of July with festivals and fireworks from June 27 to July 11

Sparks will fly across North Texas this Fourth of July, and NBC 5 has compiled a great list of celebrations for you and your family to enjoy.

Fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, marks the day in 1776 when America officially declared its independence from British rule, and Americans have been celebrating ever since. This year marks a special anniversary since the good ol’ U.S.A. is commemorating its 250th birthday.

Addison

Addison Kaboom Town, July 3, 5 to 11 p.m. at Addison Circle Park 

For four decades, Addison Kaboom Town! has attracted people from all over the country for a night of breathtaking fireworks, thrilling aerial shows, and more. 

Arlington 

Light Up ArlingtonJuly 5, 6 p.m.in Downtown Arlington 

Celebrate with fireworks, a drone show, and patriotic activities at the nearby Arlington Museum of Art and National Medal of Honor Museum. Festivities are free and open to the public.

Independence Day Parade: July 4, 9 a.m. in Downtown Arlington 

The Arlington Independence Day Parade is one of the longest-running annual events in Arlington, and has been named the Best Parade of Its Size in Texas for the third consecutive year by the Texas Festivals and Events Association.

Bedford 

4thFest, July 4, 5 to 10 p.m. at Generations Park at Boys Ranch 

Bedford 4thFest will feature free live music from Downtown Fever Band, a kid’s zone, food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks show when the sun goes down. Admission is free. 

Burleson 

Red, White & BTX, July 4, 4 p.m. at Chisenhall Fields 

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the city's annual 4th of July celebration, featuring food trucks, a free concert, and a spectacular fireworks show. Gates open at 4 p.m., the headlining concert starts at 7:30 p.m., and fireworks start at 9:20 p.m.

Lions Club Parade: July 4, 9 a.m. at Old Town Burleson

The 22nd Annual Independence Day Parade is presented by the Burleson Lions Club and hosted in partnership with Atmos Energy and the City of Burleson. 

Coppell 

Party in the Park, July 4, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Andrew Brown Park East 

The event will feature lawn games, festive photo opportunities, and fireworks. Plus, guests will see performances from Beach Boys tribute band Endless Summer and headliner Empire 6.

Parade Down Parkway, July 4, 9 a.m. from Samuel Blvd. to Parkway Blvd. to Town Center

Kick off Independence Day with the Parade Down Parkway! Gather up your crew and get ready for all the red, white, and blue. Be sure to line the parade route early for the best spot to see all the floats go by! 

Sensory Sensitive 4th of July Celebration, July 3, 6 to 10 p.m. at The Sound at Cypress Waters 

This free event offers a calmer environment for individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, veterans, and pets, with features such as a sound-controlled tribute band, a light show instead of fireworks, and a calm zone. 

Crowley 

Celebration of Freedom-Crowley Lights the Sky, July 11, 9 p.m. at 405 S. Oak Street

The City of Crowley is hosting the Celebration of Freedom: "Crowley Lights the Sky" with a fireworks-only celebration. Enjoy the show together from neighborhoods across the city.

Dallas 

Klyde Warren Park Independence Day Celebration, July 4, 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Enjoy summer treats from a variety of food trucks, live music from Emerald City Band, family-fun programming and fireworks, presented by Crescent Row and Oncor, lighting up the Dallas skyline. This event is free and open to the public, and seating is first-come, first-served. 

Independence Day Family Fun Weekend on July 3-5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dallas Arboretum 

The Dallas Arboretum is participating in the Independence Day festivities with a family fun weekend. The event will include a petting zoo, historical tours, and live music.

Fourth of July Arts Events, July 3-5 in Dallas

Celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday with theater, patriotic music, and fireworks. Arts organizations like Shakespeare Dallas, Dallas Chamber Symphony, and Dallas Winds have some spectacular ways to celebrate Independence Day.

Duncanville 

Red, White, & Goals: 4th of July in Duncanville, July 3-4 at 1 p.m.

The City of Duncanville is hosting a two-day Independence Day event filled with family fun, community spirit, and patriotic festivities. On July 3, enjoy a Soccer Watch Party and Family Soccer Day featuring soccer-themed activities, games, entertainment, and fun for all ages. The celebration continues on July 4 with the Lions Club Parade at 9 a.m., followed by an evening of live music, family activities, amusement rides, food vendors, and a fireworks show.

Ennis

Ennis Freedom Fest, June 27, 2026 in Downtown Ennis

Ennis Freedom Fest is celebrating 13 years of this patriotic celebration on Saturday, June 27. Festivities kick off with the Red, White & Bike Parade in historic Downtown Ennis, followed by a party in the park with free kids' activities, live music, food, and fireworks.

Fort Worth 

Fort Worth's Fourth, July 4, 5 p.m. at Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion 

For the 19th year, Fort Worth is hosting an evening of festival food, cold drinks, kids’ activities, live music, and incredible fireworks along the banks of the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion.

Frisco 

Frisco Freedom Fest Block Party, July 4, 5 to 10 p.m. at Riders Field

Frisco's Independence Day celebration heads to Riders Field to mark the United States Semiquincentennial with a free, fun-filled Freedom Fest Block Party on Saturday evening from 5 to 10 p.m.

Party in the U.S.A. 5K, July 4, 8 to 10 a.m. at Harold Bacchus Community Park

Start Independence Day with the Party in the USA 5K on our double-loop course through Harold Bacchus Community Park. Registration costs $35 per person.

Garland 

Red, White & You, July 3, 5 to 10 p.m. at Downtown Garland Square 

The City of Garland is hosting an Independence Day celebration featuring music, food, games for all ages, and a drone show in the heart of the Downtown Garland Square. Admission is free.

McKinney 

Red, White and BOOM Parade and Block Party, July 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Downtown McKinney 

The Independence Day celebration kicks off with downtown events, including a hometown parade and the East Louisiana Block Party. Families can also explore the dining and shopping options that downtown has to offer.

Red, White and BOOM Fireworks and Concert, July 4, 6 to 10 p.m. at Towne Lake Park 

Activities and fireworks finale viewing will take place at Towne Lake Park. Fireworks will be launched from the Grady Littlejohn Softball Fields. 

Plano 

All American 4th, July 4, 6 to 10 p.m. at Collin College Spring Creek Campus

Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at the All American 4th event. The event will feature games, food and drinks (available for purchase), and a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m., which will be simulcast live on 97.5 KLAKE! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers.

Prosper 

Pride in the Sky, July 2, 5 to 10 p.m. at Frontier Park 

The Town of Prosper is once again sponsoring Cedarbrook Media's Annual Prosper Pride in the Sky event. It will be an evening of celebration, complete with Live Music, Kid Zones, Food, the Posting of the Flags, and Fireworks.

Red Oak

 Red Oak White & Blue, June 27, 7 to 10 p.m. at Oaks Church

This annual free family-friendly event takes place at Oaks Church (777 S I-35). With a live DJ, bounce houses, rides, food trucks, and a spectacular Fireworks Display, it is the community event you will not want to miss.

Waxahachie

Crape Myrtle Festival and Fireworks, July 3-4 at the Waxahachie Sports Complex

The Crape Myrtle Capital of Texas will be in full bloom and ready to celebrate Independence Day with the 28th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival & Parade. The Crape Myrtle Festival is FREE to the public. The patriotic celebration will begin on Friday, July 3, at 6 p.m. at the Waxahachie Sports Complex located at 151 Broadhead Rd. Guests will enjoy a concert at 7:30 p.m. featuring ZZ Tex - the ultimate tribute to ZZ Top. The spectacular H-E-B and Myrtle Creek fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m.

Weatherford 

Spark in the Park, July 4, 6 p.m. at Heritage Park 

The City of Weatherford is hosting a free night of live music, family fun, and one of North Texas’ largest fireworks shows as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary.
