64th New York Film Festival Adds New Films by Carlos Reygadas, Dan Sallitt, Mariano Llinás, Laura Poitras, Bruno Dumont & More

Following Main Slate and Spotlight lineup announcements, the 64th New York Film Festival continues to take glorious shape, revealing its incredibly promising Currents lineup. Led by the Currents Centerpiece selection, the world premiere of Bardi by filmmaker and photographer Tala Hadid, additional world premieres include Carlos Reygadas’ Heil Jupiter!, Dan Sallitt’s What Can’t Be Mentioned, Éric Baudelaire’s For the Moon, Tiffany Sia’s Overt Listening, and a new restoration of Fred Camper’s Suicide Note.

The lineup also featured a recent Locarno favorite, Beatrice Gibson’s At Night, along with Bruno Dumont’s Red Rocks, and La Flor director Mariano Llinás’ Life of Jorge Luis Borges. Among the shorts are Laura Poitras and Rachel Lauren Mueller’sThey’re Here and Johann Lurf’s 70mm work Forever…Forever, along with films by Nathan Silver, Ben Russell, Adam Piron, Kevin Jerome Everson, Peggy Ahwesh, Martine Syms, Simon Liu, and many more.

“The Currents lineup pushes against the conventions of cinematic form, putting into relief the standardization that dominates the film landscape,” says Dennis Lim, Artistic Director, New York Film Festival. “This year’s selection is especially thrilling in its scope and diversity, encompassing multiple modes of production and possibilities for film language, and visions that range from the dynamically intimate to the genuinely—sometimes literally—cosmic.”

The 64th New York Film Festival takes place September 25 through October 12, 2026 with passes on sale now. Single tickets go on sale September 15 at noon.
