Kumasi-based Master of Ceremonies, MC Portfolio has brought to the limelight that he contributed his quota towards the success of reigning artiste of the year at the just-ended TGMA awards, Black Sherif.

MC Portfolio’s disclosure comes in response to a report that the “Kweku The Traveler” hitmaker refused a handshake with him during the just-ended TGMA which crowned him the artist of the year.

Explaining what really happened during an interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM, MC Portfolio falsified claims that the musician refused a handshake with him, however, he shared that he expected better treatment from Black Sherif.

Revealing why he expected something better from Black Sherif, MC Portfolio disclosed that before Black Sherif became the Black Sherif he is today, he, as an industry gatekeeper gave him numerous opportunities.

The MC claims even though he didn’t directly make Black Sherif who he is today, his contribution helped him to become a better version of himself, making him to become who he is today.

As someone who once gave Black Sherif opportunities and is older than him too, MC Portfolio noted that he didn’t like how the musician looked at him like he was an outcast.

He said “ “As you can see, God has used me to bless many musicians and Black Sherif is not an exception. From the beginning, I was one of the earliest people. When we met, I expected that, maybe, I expected too much, that as someone I’ve helped before and my younger brother, something better could happen. He looked at me in a way I didn’t like. So, I imagined there was a problem”.
