It’s an insult to ask musicians what they do apart from music- Sarkodie

Rap dragon, Sarkodie has taken to social media to express his displeasure at how musicians are being asked what proper business they do apart from music.

Africa’s decorated rapper believes that it makes no sense for Ghanaians to see music as not serious and continue to question musicians “What proper business do you do apart from music”.

The rapper noted that music is a proper business on its own only if the musician invests and does proper planning.

Sarkodie claims that just like any other business, music is a very lucrative business and investment anyone could venture into.

He wrote “That question “apart from music, what business do you do? Like, a proper business?” honestly comes off as a bit insulting. Music is actually one of the biggest industries in the world, and in many cases, it’s just as serious (if not more) than what people like to call “proper businesses”.

He added that “At the end of the day, investing in a music career is a real business decision. Like any other venture, it has its risks, but it can also be highly rewarding if approached the right way”.
