Amarillo’s Rockstar Coffee Shop Opens May 30 With the Wildest Drink Menu in Town

Just when you thought Amarillo couldn't get more coffee-focused, another coffee shop is set to open.

We've been anticipating this for nearly six months, and 107 Roasters has finally announced the grand opening date for KAFE 107.

Back in November, we shared that 107 Roasters had moved its coffee roasting business from McKinney to Amarillo. We also highlighted the art of roasting coffee. That part of the business opened in November, just in time for the holiday shopping rush. 107 Roasters offers facility tours, where you can learn how coffee is roasted from beginning to end.

However, it only makes sense to have a coffee shop alongside a coffee roaster. It's nice to enjoy great roasted coffee in an awesome environment. 107 Roasters began training their KAFE staff on April 25 to prepare for the grand opening. They announced that KAFE 107 will open on May 30, bringing a rock 'n roll vibe to their coffee. Enjoy the greatest hot coffee hits, pop drinks, and power chord energy drinks.

You can order drinks such as:

• Pour Some Coffee on Me: Drip Coffee
• Sweet Chai of Mine: Sweet or spiced chai
• Berry White: Blueberry White Mocha
• Bad Romance: Frozen Hot Chocolate
• Barracuda: Electric blue strawberry lemonade

Inside the Soft Opening: What to Expect at KAFE 107

I had the privilege of attending a soft opening, and since it was hot outside, I opted for one of their iced coffee selections. My order was a Cry Me a River, which was a salted caramel iced latte, and I loved every drop.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Since it was my first time there, like everyone attending the soft opening, I asked what drink to try. They asked me what I liked and gave me several options, and the salted caramel won out. All drinks are crafted in-house, and the coffee comes from their own roasted beans.

Sweet Treats to Go With Your Coffee

I also left with one of my favorite cookies from Peace, Love and Cookies, the Salty and Sweet. You will also find a selection of cookies and baked goods from this amazing business that you've seen at many local farmers' markets.

The KAFE is filled with rock 'n roll memorabilia, and the vibes are amazing. If you're looking for a rockstar vibe, get ready for a new place to get your caffeine fix on south Washington. It's so rock 'n roll that the name sounds like a radio station. Hence the K instead of a C, giving it the feel of a radio call sign.
