El Paso Band Kikimora Celebrates 10 Years With Live Album

El Paso is full of so much talent and one local band is celebrating a major milestone with a special live recording concert later this month and El Pasoans are invited to the celebration!

After a decade of soulful performances and genre-blending music Kikimora will celebrate its 10-year anniversary on Friday, May 30, with two live performances at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at. But this won’t be just any concert. 

Both performances will also serve as the official recording sessions for Kikimora’s upcoming live album and you can join the live celebration!

Known for blending neo-soul, jazz, funk, R&B, hip-hop, and live improvisation into a sound all their own, Kikimora has built a loyal fanbase across the Borderland over the last decade. The anniversary concert will feature music from all three of the band’s previous records while also capturing the raw energy and connection that fans have come to expect from their live shows.

“This concert is a celebration of the music, the community, and everyone who has supported us throughout the years,” the band shared in a statement. “We wanted to create an experience that honors where we’ve been while capturing the energy of where we are now.”

Kikimora officially formed in 2016 and features members from Argentina, Alaska, Mexico, and Texas. The band is led by Hayley on vocals and guitar alongside Leo on keyboards, Ed on lead guitar, J on bass, and Eric Boseman on drums.

I was first introduced to Kikimora’s music when I heard my boyfriend working on their music. I instantly fell in love with their music because it was a style of music you just don’t hear often and a sound that makes you want to hear more and more of their music!

Fans attending the show can expect an intimate night filled with soulful vocals, powerful musicianship, and the signature live energy that has helped define Kikimora over the years.
