GB News presenter halts show to make huge co-star announcement after farewell to fans
by Oscar Fisher, Sasha Morris · Derbyshire LiveGB News presenter Bev Turner interrupted her programme today to share some delightful news about her colleague. She joyously declared: "I want to start off by telling you this hour about some brilliant news, our very own political correspondent Olivia Utley has just posted this."
She then shared the announcement by Olivia: "'Introducing our wonderful little son, Wilfred George Dunnett-Stone (Wilfie), born yesterday morning weighing 7lb2oz. We are totally over the moon and very excited for our first Christmas as a family.'"
Bev Turner couldn't contain her excitement, saying, "Look at him, he is gorgeous! Wilfred George Dunnett-Stone, fantastic, huge congratulations from us here on Britain's Newsroom to Olivia and her hubby. Well done, amazing, and you get to put your feet up now for Christmas, which is a brilliant excuse to do so."
Fans quickly took to the station's social media to express their warm wishes to Olivia and her spouse. One viewer commented: "Well done Olivia, little George must be so proud to have the best political reporter on GBNews as his mum." Another stated: "Ahh, bless. Wonderful. Congratulations," reports the Express.
Meanwhile, a third person said: "Awwww that's excellent news, congratulations Oliva and Co. Glad it all went well, Merry Christmas." A fourth fan exclaimed: "My what a little honey", while a fifth echoed the sentiment, saying: "Whatever time of year the birth of a child is astonishing."
Olivia bid farewell to her co-hosts Stephen Dixon and Ellie Costello, as well as the viewers at home last week, announcing her temporary departure from the show. She shared that her due date was Christmas Day, but Ellie had an eerie hunch, remarking: "I hope he or she is here before Christmas because it will be the best Christmas present."
Dawn Neesom also offered her well-wishes, telling Olivia: "You are going to be a wonderful mum. We can't wait to find out all the news from you." Olivia has confirmed she'll be back on GB News in September.
