The much-loved filmmaker, Anik Dutta, was found dead at the age of 66 after falling from the roof of a six-storey residential building. The man behind a new genre of political satire in the Bengali film industry was found dead on May 27, 2026, at Hindustan Park near Garihat. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
